SATURDAY APRIL 1 - Meet at Glendale at 6:45 AM for a 7:00 AM departure

Red Deer Group arrives at Pontiac High School (PHS) at 10 p.m. Host families meet and greet.

SUNDAY, APRIL 2  - Family Day. Host families plan their own activities.

                                5:30 p.m. Pot luck supper at PHS Parents organize.


MONDAY, APRIL 3 - Everyone comes to PHS on regular buses or by walking.

                                8:45 a.m. Depart for Ottawa. Tours of Parliament and walking tour of downtown Ottawa including the Byward Market.


Pre-paid lunch at the Rideau Centre - Shopping Centre - Return to PHS by 6 p.m.


TUESDAY, APRIL 4 - 7:30 a.m. buses leave PHS for the MONTREAL BIODOME Space Centre.

Time permitting, supervisors will lead small groups on tours of OLD MONTREAL.
NB: host families are asked to pack lunches for everyone. The Biodome has a cafeteria for light refreshments.

Supper at the Hudson Truck Stop ($10 given to everyone)

Return to PHS  approximately 10-10:30 p.m.


WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5 - Kids come to PHS on regular school buses.

8:45 a.m. bus departs for Garrison Petawawa.


Tour the base, visit their museum, go to the Simulation Centre where soldiers train to shoot automatic weapons. These are actually electronic weapons, although they are very realistic.

Eat lunch at the base's mess hall ($10 given for lunch). Return to PHS for regular bus departure. Evening with twins.

THURSDAY, APRIL 6:   NB :Parents are asked to bring their kids to PHS at 2 p.m.

Bus takes everyone to the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau-Hull.


Self-guided tours with school supervisors.

Supper at near-by MacDonalds ($10 provided).


The NAC orchestra plays classical pop production, "Paris to Broadway" featuring singing and dancing.

Back to PHS by approx 11:15 p.m.

FRIDAY, APRIL 7 - 8:45 a.m.,  twins from Red Deer must leave for the airport.
